Ghostgirl Review:

Ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

And if I should die before I awake,

I pray the popular attend my wake.

Charlotte Usher feels practically invisible at school, and then one day she really is invisible. Even worse: she's dead. And all because she choked on a gummy bear. But being dead doesn't stop Charlotte from wanting to be popular; it just makes her more creative about achieving her goal.

If you thought high school was a matter of life or death, wait till you see just how true that is. In this satirical, yet heartfelt novel, Hurley explores the invisibility we all feel at some times and the lengths we'll go to be seen.

I really loved the cover and all the details on the book, however it was really difficult to form an opinion of this book mainly because some times I just don’t agree with Charlotte (main character). I liked the message the book delivers especially for teenagers, The book is easy to read. It has a lot of quotes at the beginning of every chapter and that’s nice, overall I enjoyed the book and sometimes I even had fun with the situations Charlotte was in. I would recommend this book to young adults.

The Blood Books, Volume I Review:

The Blood Books, Volume I by Tanya Huff
Omnibus : Blood Price / Blood Trail.

This book was recommended to me because I was a sucker for anything with a vampire in it. I really enjoyed these books although the writing left a lot to be desired. It kept me engaged until they ended. Blood Price, the first in the series, introduces us to the main characters. Vicki Nelson private investigator, her ex-partner Mike Celluci and 450-year-old vampire Henry Fitzroy.

Viki Nelson left the police forced to become a private investigator, one night on the subway she comes across a murder, a very weird one the corpse has been drained of most of its blood, after several murders the news papers are screaming Vampires in Toronto, Henry worried about the threat of exposure joins forces with Vicki Nelson and Mike Celluci, a Toronto cop and ex lover of Vicki, to track down this killer.
I had no idea there was a television series.
